Charles Elwood Walker, 62, Cynthiana, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Cynthiana, June 22, 1950, to Amy Frederick Walker Barnes, Cynthiana and the late William ""John"" Hugh Walker. He was a retired construction worker and carpenter for Tri-State Roofing and Eagle Roofing and a United States Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Walker; a sister, Brenda Walker Stewart, and a nephew, Jerry Walker ""J.W."" Lenox.
Survivors include: two sons, Anthony Scott Slade, Lexington and Charles Lucas Walker, Cynthiana; two daughters, Carla Sue Walker, Cynthiana and Jennifer Lynn Slade, Lexington; three brothers, Gary Walker, Lexington, Billy (Leah) Lemons, Cynthiana and John (Jody) Walker, Cynthiana; a sister, Patty Davidson, Louisville; and a grandchild, Asher Barkley Slade.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 8 at Ware Funeral Home by the Rev. Bobby Duncan. Burial was in Wagner's Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Jackie Lemons, Roy Lee Cummins, John Longwell, Mike Yost, Lyle Fryman, Tony Slade and Larry Barnett.
