Cora "Dudy" Morrison Morris, 77, Cynthiana, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.
She was born in Harrison County, April 8, 1938 to the late Earl and Elsie Moore Morrison, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Clay Morrison, Bill Morrison and Earl Morrison Jr. and three sisters, Ruby Cordray, Betty Pulliam and Audrey Vickers. She was a retired waitress from Frisch's and a member of Central Christian Church.
Survivors include: her son, Scott (Deana) Mattox, Cynthiana; a daughter, Terri Tipton, Marion, Ind.; two sisters, Alma Hicks, Sturgis, Mich. and Judy (Dale) French, Mt. Olivet; five grandchildren, Casey Orme, Coley "Punky" Orme, Christopher Mattox, Eli Mattox and Allyson Mattox; two step-grandsons, Adam Brinkmeyer and Amos Brinkmeyer; a step great-grandson, Lyle Brinkmeyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 1 at 11 a.m. at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter, 1751 New Lair Road, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
Pallbearers will be Doug Hicks, Eli Mattox, Christopher Mattox, Greg Gooden, Wally Morrison and William "Whit" Whitaker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Morrison, Jeff Moore, Wesley Smith, Gary Morrison and Kevin Morrison.
