Donal Lee ""Donna"" Hewlett VanHook, 81, Cynthiana, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
She was born in Louisa, Dec. 2, 1935 to the late Donald and Emily Hall Hewlett, was a homemaker, very active with sewing in 4-H and a member of Republican Christian Church and the Buena Vista Homemakers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam VanHook; two brothers, Bill Hewlett and Richard Hewlett; and four sisters, Carol Hewlett, Dorothy Moore, Susie Lewis and Garnett Gartin.
She is survived by two sons, Eddie (Lucy) VanHook and Danny (Tammy) VanHook, both of Cynthiana; two daughters, Patricia (Darren) Collins and Libby (Terry) Isaac, both of Cynthiana; two brothers, Jack Hewlett and Eddie (Janice) Hewlett, both of Louisa; two sisters, Lou (JR) Ratliff, Louisa and Vickey Hogston, Fairmont, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Sean Sumpter, Samantha Sumpter, Audra Grossman, Van Isaac, Elisabeth, Rebecca Gibbs, Quentin Mitchell and Sam VanHook; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 28 at 12 p.m. at Republican Christian Church with visitation at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Republican Christian Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Republican Christian Church.
