Edward Marvin Blumenfeld, 86, Pleasant Hill, Tenn., died Dec. 19, 2013.

He was born in Chicago, Ill. on Sept. 23, 1927 and held a Bachelor of Science degree from Carroll College and graduate degrees in Divinity from Hartford Theological Seminary and Northwestern University. He served in the US Army and Navy, worked for 40 years as a minister for the United Church of Christ, and served as president of Rotary and Optimists clubs.
Survivors include: his wife, Faith Ann Marsh Blumenfeld; a brother, M. Eugene Blumenfeld; sons, Lawrence and Philip Blumenfeld; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2014. Interment will be in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Ky.
