Eugene Hiten, 92, Cynthiana, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at his residence.

He was born March 24, 1922 in Harrison County, Ky., a son of the late Sell and Blanche Creighton Hiten. He was a member of Connersville Christian Church and was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kirby, John, Frank, Bobby and Ray Hiten, and sisters, Lois Riddell and Juanita Clark.
Survivors include: his wife, Eva Mae Nichols Hiten; three sisters, Connie and Mary Lou Hiten of Lexington, and Charlotte Faye (Tommy) White of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 10 at 2 p.m. at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Clifford Neat, the Rev. Paul Stamper and the Rev. Warren French. Burial will follow the service in Battle Grove Cemetery.
A meal will be provided at Connersville Christian Church following the funeral service.
Pallbearers: Bobby Denniston, Lowell Clifford, Bill Thomson, Richard Anderson, Randy Hammons and Ricky Woolums.
Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
