Fannie Rorer McKee, 83, Cynthiana, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at her residence.

She was born in Harrison County, Sept. 22, 1930, to the late Hickman England and Jennie Marie Cooper Rorer. She was a homemaker and member of Cynthiana Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, worked in the nursery for more than 15 years, sang in the choir and was a member of the Whitaker Baptist Women. She was preceded in death by her brother, Hickman Rorer Jr.
Survivors include: her husband, Joe McKee; a son, John David McKee, Cynthiana; four daughters, Teresa (Terry) Stinson, Cynthiana, Jo Anne (Rick) Wilhoite, Scott County, Julia (Bennie) Doan, Georgetown and Jennie (Ray) Sparks, Cynthiana; eight grandchildren, Greg (Lisa) Stinson, Tracy (Shan) Keltner, Doug Wilhoite, J.C. (Crystal) Wilhoite, Joey Wilhoite, Jennie (Rob) McCormick, Sarah (Landon) Holder and Austin Sparks; six great-grandchildren, Lydia Merrifield, Emma Wilhoite, Kurtlin Holder, Ivy Holder, Eden Holder and Kennedy McCormick; two nephews, Mike Rorer and Joe Rorer; and her caregiver, Betsy Thomas.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. at Ware Funeral Home by the Rev. Patrick Whyte. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
