Garnelle Malone Jenkins, 82, Frankfort, Ky., died Friday, May 31, 2013, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort.

She was born in Harrison County, Ky., May 21, 1931, to the late John and Geneva Smiley Malone Sr. She was a member of First Christian Church in Frankfort.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Renee Jenkins Powers and her brothers, Clyde, Jerry, Edgar and Jim Malone.
Survivors include: her husband, John R. Jenkins; two daughters, Dina Perry and Teresa (Bill) Clements, all of Lawrenceburg, Ky.; one son, Ron (Terry) Jenkins, of Frankfort; three brothers, John (Linda) Malone, Berry, Ky., David (Donna) Malone, and Gary (Susan) Malone, all of Cynthiana; one sister, Wanda (John) Fife, Florida; sisters-in-law, Patsy Malone, Indiana and Phyllis Malone, Cynthiana; seven grandchildren,Tina M. Campbell, Jason A. (Melanie) Mauer, Edward Ross (Andrea) Henry, Jared Q. Powers, Erin N. Powers, Daniel Scott Henry and Stacey T. (Chris) Lykins; four great-grandchildren, Whitney L. Cardwell, Jonathan D. Campbell, Audrey E. Mauer and Parker Lykins; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Wednesday, June 5 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, Cynthiana, by Dr. John Opsata, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews.
Pallbearers were: Jason Mauer, Bill Jenkins, Mike Malone, Jonathon Malone, Greg Malone, Doug Malone.
