George C. Cooper, 75, of Aurora, Indiana, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017.
He was born Jan. 1, 1942 in Cynthiana, Ky., son of the late Earl and Shirley (Ernest) Cooper.
He was a veteran of the US Army, a member of the 92nd Airborne Association, and loved estate sales and garage sales. He enjoyed fishing, especially deep sea fishing, and painting houses, was an all around practical joker, and worked as a driver at Hidelberg.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Cooper of Aurora, Ind.; daughter, Sonya Lynn Bishop of Warsaw, Ky.; four brothers, Kenneth "Bulldog" (wife Joyce) Cooper, David (wife Gracie) Cole, Ricky (wife Brenda) Cole, and Bob Cooper; four sisters, Priscilla Juanita Cooper, Vicky L Cole, Brenda Moyer, and Sandra Sue (husband Joe) Truster; three grandchildren, Tiffany Jones, Timmy Bishop, Joshua Bishop; and two great-grandchildren, Savannah and Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Shirley Cooper; son, George "Bubby" Cooper; four brothers, John, Vernon, Gary, and Grandy; and two sisters, Nellie "Boots" and Gretchen.
A memorial service will be held at the Leming House Community Park, Saturday, March 18 from 2-6 p.m.
Contributions may be made to the Dearborn County Hospice.
