Gregory Keith Swinford, 59, Lexington, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
He was born Jan. 28, 1954 in Harrison County, Ky. He was a member of Cynthiana Christian Church, an employee of the Jockey Club as the Senior Catalog Writer, and was a former computer programmer for 3M.
He was preceded in death by his mother Wanda Barnes Herrington, and his grandparents Hazel and Tom Barnes and Dr. C. L. and Ruth Swinford.
Survivors include: his wife, Marilyn Peak Swinford, his father, Charles (Donna) Swinford, three brothers, Steve Swinford, Alan Moody (Tammy) Swinford, and Kevin (Tina) Sullivan, one sister, Heather (Jimmy) Morris, all of Harrison County; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 7 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, officiated by Father Gary Padget. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Greg Burden, Tony Peddicord, Alan Moody Swinford, Steve Swinford, Dean Peak and Andy Peak.
