Harold ""Red"" Davis Wright, 81, Cynthiana, husband of Rhodia Irvin Wright, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
A native of Scott County, he was the son of the late John Davis Wright and Luecynthia Elizabeth Barron Wright. He was a member of the Great Crossings High School basketball team, a Korean Conflict Army veteran, a proud Kentucky Colonel and an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan.
Survivors besides his wife include: two daughters, Debbie (Pat) Greene, Georgetown and Sharon (Woody Garrison) Wright, Paris; two step-daughters, Judy (Joe) Gutzmann, Ohio and Joann (John M.) Riley, Brooksville; five grandchildren, Timothy (Carolyn) Lewis, Michele (Marcos) Montejo, Samantha (John) Walker, Johnny M. (Lisa) Riley Jr., and Billy Joe (Tanya) Riley; several great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lucy Evans, Kenton County, Bonnie Power and Barbara Noland, both of Georgetown.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Rutledge and a half-brother, Randolph Barron.
Services were held Friday, March 22 at Johnson's Funeral Home by the Rev. Curtis Coots. Burial followed in the Georgetown Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: C.J. Gooden, Shawn and Woody Garrison, Timothy Lewis, Tom Witt and Ricky Witt.
Honorary pallbearers were: Kristen and Kyle Shepperd and Kimberly Spicer.
