Heelen Frances Fryman Nichols, 93, Cynthiana, Ky., died Friday, April 24, 2015, at her residence.
She was born in Harrison County, Ky., April 14, 1922, to the late Jacob Washington and Flodie Fryman, and was preceded in death by her husband, Jonathan O. Nichols, son-in-law, Dale Snapp and her brothers, Todd, Otis, John, Tommy and Elmer Fryman. She was a member of Lair Methodist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Wanda (Walter) Stone, Sadieville, Ky. and Pamela Snapp, Cynthiana; three sisters, Alberta Franklin and Margaret Ritchie, both of Harrison County and Sudie Sanders, Bourbon County; three grandchildren, Chris Stone, London, Ky., Christina (Mark) Tappel and Kim (Bobby) Yonts, both of Georgetown, Ky.; six great-grandchildren, Luke and Alli Stone, Madison, Mason and Morgan Tappel and Reagan Yonts; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, April 29 at 11 a.m. at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Fryman, the Rev. Cecil Marshall Ritchie and the Rev. Terry McDuffey, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Lair Methodist Church.
