Henry Clay ""Brownie"" Irvin, 84, Cynthiana, Ky., died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at Hospice Care, Lexington, Ky.
He was born in Paris, Ky., July 9, 1930, to the late Jim and Erie Million Irvin. He was a member of Berry Christian Church and a retired farmer and mechanic, and was preceded in death by his wife Mary K. Irvin and a son, Donald Clay Irvin.
Survivors include: his daughters, Kathy (Steve) Melnyk, Patricia (Kevin) Poe, Betty (Billy) Whitaker, Connie Hibbard and Cindy Fowler; a step-son, Tony (Karen) Cobb; a step-daughter, Linda (Gregg) Harrington; two brothers, Russ Irvin and P. D. Irvin; special grandson, Jeremy Irvin; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Randy Wilson. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
