J. Leslie Fryman, 80, Cynthiana, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 at Cedar Ridge Health Care Campus.
He was born Sept. 12, 1936 in Harrison County, Ky., a son of the late Rice and Gertrude Bell Anderson Fryman.
He was an honorably discharged Army veteran, retired from the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he worked as an audiovisual engineer, a member of Cynthiana Christian Church, where he served as an Elder, a Kentucky Colonel and a former member of the Rotary Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Jacobs Fryman, his brother, Billie Rice Fryman, sister-in-law June Fryman, and brother-in-law Jim Jacobs.
Survivors include: one son, Stephen Leslie (Tammy) Fryman, Noblesville, Ind.; one daughter, Jennifer Anne (John) Lemmings, Cynthiana; two grandsons, Spencer Thomas and Benjamin Jacob Lemmings; and a special friend, Sue Walker of Cynthiana.
Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. at Cynthiana Christian Church, officiated by Dr. Larry W. Bishop. Burial, with Military Honors with follow the service in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cynthiana Christian Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
