James Gilbert ""Gip"" McBee, 94, Harrison County, Ky., died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 15, 1918 in Harrison County, Ky., a son of the late James Frank and Tilda Jenkins McBee. He was a member of Connersville Christian Church, a retired farmer, school bus driver, had worked for Blake and Johnson and the Cynthiana Police Department.
Survivors include: his son, Gary (Lois) McBee of Leesburg, Fla.; his daughter, Brenda McBee of Harrison County; two grandchildren, Gary L. McBee of Brentwood, Tenn., Traci L. Antoque of Concord, Calif.; and a special friend, Carlos Sloan.
Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 28 at 1 p.m. at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral home officiated by the Rev. Terry McDuffey. Burial will follow the service in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home.
