James Thomas Laughlin, 95, widower of Ruth Laughlin, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at his residence.
He was born Aug. 5, 1919 in Cynthiana, Ky., the son of the late James Thomas and Alice Louise Clifford Laughlin. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired 30 year employee of Keebler Company, and was an avid gardener and an active member of Gardenside Christian Church.
Survivors include: two sons, James Frederick Laughlin and Allen Clifford (Sandy) Laughlin, both of Lexington, Ky.; three grandchildren, Lt. Col. Allen (Patty) Laughlin II "Rocky", Sarah Carolyn Yellman, and John Scott Yellman IV; a great-grandson, Levi Scott Yellman.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Laughlin Yellman; and two brothers, Gordon Laughlin and Charles Harwood Laughlin.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 24, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Lexington, by the Rev. Bobby Cairell. Burial followed in Battle Grove Cemetery in Cynthiana.
