Jimmie Kimbrough Haviland, 88, widow of George Kern Haviland, died Oct. 30, 2013.

She was born in Cynthiana May 2, 1925, to James F. and Mary Sue Kimbrough. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Withers.
She is survived by a son, Steve (Julie) Haviland; a daughter, Janice Collins; and granddaughters, Ellen (Ben) Baker and Karen Collins.
She was a member of South Frankfort Presbyterian Church where she served in numerous roles, was an elder, Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher, moderator of Women of the Church, and circle member. She started the Wednesday night dinners and after-church lunches, was a 40 year member of King's Daughters' Silent Workers Circle, where she served several terms as Chair of the Board, and spent many hours volunteering at King's Daughters' Apartments. One of her greatest joys was fundraising for the Kings Center, where she was named an honorary lifetime board member.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 4 at South Frankfort Presbyterian Church in Frankfort by the Rev. David Wadsworth. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana. Rogers Funeral Home, Frankfort, was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were: Ben Baker, John Brady, Chip Smith, Boyd Lawson, Homer Calvert, and Ray Singleton.
