Joanna Emery Philpot, 51, Cynthiana, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Cook County, Ill., Dec. 26, 1961 to the late John Everett and Lillian Maude Taylor Emery. She was a Bundy Tubing employee, a pre-trail officer with AOC and a member of Irvingsville Baptist Church where she served as treasurer and youth director. She was involved in mission work with the
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Carl Emery and Jerry Allen Emery.
Survivors include: her husband, Gary Philpot; three sons, Jeremy (Laurie) Philpot, Shaun Wallin and Brandon Wallin, all of Harrison County; a daughter, Tabitha (Jason) Carr, Harrison County; a brother, Larry (Helen) Emery, Harrison County; three grandchildren, Levi Gibson Carr, Lucas Allen Carr and Solomon Dale Philpot; three special grandchildren, Hollie Workman, Robert Brugh and Kaylee Brugh; a special great-grandchild, Jaxon Abel Parker; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 9 at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Bradley Caudill and Bro. Albert Simmons. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery.
