John Ross Reno, 80, Cynthiana, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington.
He was born in Harrison County, Feb. 27, 1935 to late James Malcolm and Elizabeth Ross Reno.
He attended and was a member of Cynthiana Christian Church, a purchasing agent for Ladish Company, a farmer, an avid gun collector, loved his high school career and was a member of the Ducks Unlimited, The Wild Turkey Federation and The Dryden Club.
Survivors include: his wife, Martha Anderson Reno; four daughters, Amy (Marc) Ross Fry, Augusta, Mira Beth Reno (Charles) Muth, Georgetown and Mary Malcolm Reno Lang and Anna Laura Reno, both of Cynthiana; 11 grandchildren, Clara Ross Link, John Benjamin (Amanda) Link, Marc Henry Fry, Christopher John Muth, Kristen Charles Muth, John Victor Muth II, Luke Reeves Matlack Muth, Bodie Morgan Muth, Jacqueline Miranda Young, Frank Malcolm Lang and Dolly Jude Storey Reno; a great-grandchild, Liam Collin Trejo; four cousins, Ann Paxton Caldwell, Charlie Biancke, Jean Biancke Deye and Rebecca Biancke Parsons; and his three special caregivers, Dr. John Gregory Cooper, Dr. Jim Rice and Dr. Eliza Robertson.
Graveside service will be Monday, Aug. 10 at 12 p.m. at Battle Grove Cemetery by Dr. Larry Bishop with a celebration of life following at Cynthiana Christian Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ducks Unlimited, The Wild Turkey Federation or the Cynthiana Christian Church.
Pallbearers will be Marc Fry, Chip Muth, Charlie Biancke, Jay Brunker, Jamie Moore, Marvin Arnold, Anthony Dryden and Darrin Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will be his special care givers, Dr. John Gregory Cooper, Dr. Jim Rice and Dr. Eliza Robertson and Gary Link, James McNees, Chuck "Monk" Hardin, Marion Russell Glenn, Doyle Bupious, Jim Hicks, John Newell, Paul Enlow, Donnie Cooper, David Garrison, Levi Hill, Mike Fryman, Charlie Hill, Jim Gullett, George Velat, Scott Cheek and V D Florence.
