Larry Edwin Newman, 66, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013.

He was born in Ashland, Ky., on May 2, 1947. He was a teacher at Harrison County High School in Cynthiana for 27 years, and drew custom house plans in the area for more than 40 years. He also attended Bedford Acres Christian Church in Paris, Ky. for many years.
Survivors include: his wife of 44 years, Joanne Jasper Newman; a son, Andy Newman (Kim); a grandson, Silas Newman; a sister, Sharon Stidom (Dick); his brother-in-law, John Jasper (Patsy); and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Pauline Kegley Newman and a brother, Carl David Newman.
Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 24 officiated by Dr. Tom LaHue at 11 a.m. at Milward-Southland, 391 Southland Dr., Lexington, Ky. Burial was in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Bedford Acres Christian Church's Room in the Inn ministry or the Bedford Acres building fund, 5414 Lexington Rd., Paris, KY 40361.
