Linda Lou Harney Ammerman, 74, Cynthiana, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
Linda was born in Harrison County, Ky., Jan. 29, 1942, a daughter of the late Irvin Estill and Edna Garrison Harney, and was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph "Bill" Ammerman.
She was a devoted, wife, mother and grandmother and she loved her family beyond measure, and was a member of Beaver Baptist Church and the WMU.
Survivors include: her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Lee and LeAnn Lemons Ammerman, Georgetown; her granddaughters, Lauren Elyse and Josie Wyles Ammerman; two brothers, Marvin Douglas (Judy) Harney and Larry Wyles (Carla) Harney, Cynthiana; one sister, Janet Bertram, Mt. Olivet; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Kevin Strausbaugh and Bro. Lawrence Combs. Burial will follow the service in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lauren Elyse and Josie Wyles Ammerman Scholarship fund through Central Bank.
