Lola Strawzell, 96, of Redwood Falls, Minn., died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at Redwood Area Hospital.
She was the daughter of Harry William and Maud (Bliss) Brown, was born April 12, 1918 on the family farm in Delhi Township, Redwood County. She grew up on the family farm and received her elementary education at Helen Keller School in Delhi Township, and graduated from Delhi High School.
On Oct. 12, 1939, she married Ormie Strawzell and they lived on the Strawzell farm – just across the road from Lola's home farm. She was a homemaker, mother, and primary caregiver for her sons, Larry and Terry. She lived on the farm until moving to Garnette Gardens in April 2013, was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church where she was active in the various women's ministries. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, church activities, and spending time with her family.
A beloved mother and grandmother, she is survived by her son, Steve (Rhonda) Strawzell of Cynthiana, Ky.; granddaughters, Crista (Richard) Crowdy of Cynthiana, and Kelsi Strawzell of Lexington, Ky.; and sister, Irene Rutherford of Campbell, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ormie on Jan. 13, 1992; and her sons Larry and Terry.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 9 at Cornerstone Christian Church in Redwood Falls with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Cornerstone Christian Church in Redwood Falls or Crossroads Christian College, Rochester, Minn.
