Lowell D. "Big Foot" Fryman Sr., 78, Cynthiana, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Nicholas County, Oct. 15, 1933 to the late Homer D. and Nellie D. Ritchie Fryman. He was a United States Korean War Army veteran, retired truck driver and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donia Jean Fisher Fryman; a son, Lowell D. Fryman Jr.; brother, William B. Fryman, and a grandson, Conner D. Fryman.
Survivors include: two sons, Gary (Karen) Fryman, Harrison County and Gregory (Valerie) Fryman, Richmond; three daughters, Betty (Thomas) Hopkins, Florence, Yvonne (Philip) Price, Falmouth and Tammy (Robert) Snider, Cynthiana; a granddaughter that he raised as a daughter, Kimberly Denkins, Nicholas County; a sister, Mary Elizabeth (Donnie) Perkins, Cynthiana; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Rick Bradshaw with visitation at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US Hwy. 62 E, Cynthiana, KY 41031 and VA Hospital Cooper Drive Division, 1101 Veterans Dr., Lexington, KY 40502.
Pallbearers will be Cliffton Snider, Dale Brown, Jimmy Hollar, Noel Phillips, Ronald Beagle, Barry Bretz and Jim Bob Faye.
