Lowell Wayne Rose, 72, Cynthiana, died Friday, June 2, 2017, at his residence. Born in Harrison County, Dec. 3, 1944, to the late Oliver and Georgia Blythe Rose, he was a brick mason and a United States Navy veteran.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Dean Rose; a brother, John Walter Rose, and a great-grandchild, Sadie Mae Rose.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Vires Rose; two sons, Lloyd Tommy (Angela) Rose and Edward (Trudi) Rose, both of Cynthiana; two daughters, Melinda Crump, Lexington, and Joy Ann (Wilbur) Gross, Cynthiana; three sisters, Helen (Joe) Chambers, Cynthiana, Sheila Graves, Lexington, and Judy (Tommy) Morris, Cynthiana; a sister-in-law, Faye Rose, Cynthiana; two brothers, Clay (Jean) Rose, Winchester, and Bobby Rose, Harrison County; 16 grandchildren, Jacob Rose, Amos Rose, Ashley Rose, Lindsay Cooper, Ariana Rose, Cody Rose, Chelsey Rose, Lewis Edward "Digger" Crump III, Austin Wayne Crump, Samuel Henry Crump, Whitney "Winnie" Gross, Jazlynn "Jazzy" Gross, Tawny Gross, LaRoyne "Peanut" Gross, Levi Whalen, BreeBree Gross and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be Pythian Grove Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be James Hunter, Steve Morris, Richard Morris, Joe Rose, Tony Perraut and James Thomas Chambers. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
