Lucille O. Stander, 87, widow of Stanley Stander, died Dec. 23, 2013 in Cincinnati.

She was born Nov. 8, 1926 in Blaze, Ky., to the late William Harlan and Linda Blair Acree. For over 70 years she was a minister in the Church of God, started the Cynthiana Church of God, was a former minister in the Free Pentecostal Church of God, an evangelist, and did mission work at the Indiana Mission in Gallup, N.M.
Survivors include: her children, Linda Jean Beckett and Stanley Stander Jr., both of Florence, Rebecca (Stuart) Orem of Chillicothe, and Rose M. (Ricky) Picadio of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Nicole Densmore, Whitney Simpson, Carolyn Romans, Stanley Stander Jr., Julie Smith, Jennifer Miller, Tonya Sayers, Kevin Smith, Torie Castle, Cory Castle, Kimberly Gibson, Kandi Watts, Jason Gulley, Dusty Whitaker, and Jeremy Orem; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Laura Enfield Sutorka, Arizona; sister-in-law, Billie Acree, Oklahoma; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Wayne Switzer Jr.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 30 at Church of God on Gano Avenue in Georgetown with the Rev. David Acree officiating. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery. Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were: Jason Gulley, Rick Picadio, Chuck Miller, Andy Sayers, Even Miller, Samuel Sayers, Jimmy Densmore, Phillip Acree, and Mark Acree.
