Marjorie McCauley Fritz, 91, a resident of Consolate Health Care of Bayonet Point in Hudson, Fla., formerly of Harrison County, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point.
She was born in Harrison County, Aug. 8, 1921, to the late W. E. McCauley and Grace Wyles McCauley. She was a member of the Harrison County Homemakers for over 50 years, worked for 21 years as a school cafeteria manager, served as a 4-H leader, volunteered at Harrison Memorial Hospital and was a member of a garden club and Unity Christian Church. She epitomized the word ""homemaker."" She had a passion for caring for her family, cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, entertaining family and friends and all aspects of farm life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Fritz and two brothers, Leroy and Carlos McCauley.
Survivors include: two sons, John C. (Carol) Fritz, Lexington and Charles Thomas Fritz, Lakeland, Fla.; a daughter, Charlotte Ann Pandolfo, New Port Richey, Fla.; a sister, Eloise Judy, Paris; four grandchildren, Susan Marie (Noah) Stern, John David (Rebecca) Fritz, James Thomas Fritz and Kelsea Ann Fritz; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Caroline Fritz.
Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Marvin Keane. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Unity Christian Church.
Pallbearers will be Joe Judy, Paul McCauley, Kerry Florence, James Thomas Fritz, John David Fritz and Noah Stern.
