Melvin "Teddy Bear" Williams


Melvin ""Teddy Bear"" Williams, 68, Paris, formerly of Cynthiana, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015 at Bourbon County Community Hospital.
He was born in Harrison County, Aug. 24, 1947 to the late Orie and Etta Stivers Williams, he was a horseman, rabbit hunter and enjoyed show cars and trucks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Stanfield Williams; four brothers, Chester Williams, Orie Williams, ""Bugsy"" Williams and Ollie Williams; four sisters, Nancy Wilson, Mary Whitaker, Sudie King and Eula Florence and a son, Melvin Wayne Williams.
He is survived by three sons, Robbie (Crystal Tolliver) Williams and Gary Dwayne (Pamela Tolliver) Williams, both of Cynthiana and Bryan Williams, Paris; four sisters, Jeanette (Ronnie) Hunt, Paris, Etta Faye Schwanke, Cynthiana, Louise True, Carlisle and Goldie Jett, Mt. Sterling; 14 grandchildren; and a special nephew Ronnie True.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 24 at Ware Funeral Home. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Robbie Williams, Gary Dwayne Williams, Bryan Williams, Steven Dean Clay Williams, Kenny Scott Williams and Ronnie True.
