Phyllis Wyles, 70, Cynthiana, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at Cedar Ridge Healthcare Campus.
She was born in Harrison County, Ky., a daughter of the late Willie P. and Genevieve Perraut Wyles.
She was a member of Cynthiana Christian Church, a 1964 graduate of Harrison County High School, a 1967 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where she obtained her Master's degree in French and a minor in English. She began her teaching career August 1968 at Harrison County High School, and retired in 1997.
A sister, Peggy Marie Wyles Warth, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: a special friend, William Caywood; and several cousins.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 10 at 4 p.m. at Cynthiana Christian Church, officiated by Dr. Larry W. Bishop. Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
