Rex Carson, 69, Cynthiana, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
He was born in Nicholas County, April 2, 1944 to the late Charlie and Myrtle Stewart Carson. He was a construction worker for Triple D. Communications, a farmer and a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Carrie Jolly, Laura Conley and Mildred Ritchie and two brothers, Robert Carson and Charles Carson.
Survivors include: his wife, Linda Cole Carson; two sons, Rex L. (Angie) Carson, Lancaster and Gary (Rosie) Carson, Harrison County; a daughter, Kathie (Brad) Purcell, Cynthiana; a brother, Homer Carson, Erlanger; six grandchildren, Tonya (Randall) Case, William (Nicole) McNees, Autumn (James) Bedwell, Patrick (Christi) Carson, Brandon (Amber) Carson and Caleb Purcell; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 20 at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Wayne Tolson. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery.
