Rex Ecklar, 77, Cynthiana, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Harrison County, March 7, 1939 to the late Carl and Ada Ray Carr Ecklar. He was a farmer, a developer of Northside Mobile Home Estates and co-owner of Interstate Mobile Home. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Lou Mary Wachter.
He is survived by three sons, Gary (Sandy) Ecklar, Cynthiana, Darren (Jennifer) Ecklar and Nicholas Denton, both of Richmond; a daughter, Julie Ecklar, Cynthiana; two brothers, Ronald Ecklar and Carl Ray Ecklar, both of Cynthiana; 11 grandchildren, Chase Wachter, Quinn Wachter, Chad Ecklar, Joshua Ecklar, Casey Lou Ecklar, Taryn Wilson, Mary Todd Ashbrook, Megan Fields, Devin Ecklar, Jacob Denton and Raychel Denton; several great-grandchildren; and a friend, Gmatt Noble.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13 at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
