Richard ""Dickie"" Eugene Cain, 64, Cynthiana, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Harrison County, Dec. 19, 1947 to the late Calvin Richard and Inez Louella Preston Cain. He was a perfectionist carpenter and a member of Claysville Christian Church, Community Draft Horse Association and the Millersburg American Legion-Post #257. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Eva Mae Day Burros, Sarah Ellen Cain, Wanda Faye Cain, Judy Louise Cain and Mary Adams. Survivors include: his wife, Peggy Davis Cain; two sons, David Gene (Tina) Cain, Winchester and Michael (Melissa) Cain, Paris; two stepsons, James (Paula) Smith and Stephen Smith, both of Cynthiana; two daughters, Teresa Cain, Mt. Sterling and Nicky Cain, Florence; a brother, Gary Lynn (Terry) Cain, Harrison County; four sisters, Louella (John) Mattox, Millington, Tenn., Linda (Larry) Woosley, Cynthiana, Kathleen Joiner, Cochran, Ga. and Vickie (Jim) Pedersen, Harrison County; eight grandchildren, Heather Cain, Tyler Cain, Dustin Conkright, Blake Cain, Jayden Cain, Addison Cain, Justin Smith, Christin Smith and Ke-leen Molloy; four great-grandchildren; his father-in-law, James Webber Davis; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Tom Ware and Britton Sloat Dye. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 5 at noon at Ware Funeral Home by James Smith. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown. Memorial contributions may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, National Headquarters, 3300 E. Sunrise Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718. Pallbearers will be Billy Earle North, Billy Phillips, Sean Joiner, Jason Joiner, Todd Pederson, Nathan Pederson, Matthew Pederson and Bobby Woosley.
