R. K. ""Bob"" Lucas, 72, Cynthiana, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in Mt. Olivet, June 4, 1940 to the late Charles Hester and Hartzel Bentley Lucas. He was founder of Lucas Equine Equipment, a real estate agent in Florida and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by a son, Keith Carson Lucas and a brother, Tony Lucas.
Survivors include: his wife, Rosemary Reed Lucas; a son, Eddie (Vicki) Lucas, Cynthiana; a brother, Charles P. (Thelma) Lucas, Jasper, Fla.; three grandchildren, Amber (David) Jett, Austin Lucas and Samantha Lucas; three great-grandchildren, Colton Jett, Brooklyn Jett and Logan Jett; a nephew, Rick (Kim) Lucas; a great nephew, Matt Lucas; and a great niece, Andrea Lucas.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 30 at Ware Funeral Home by the Rev. Wayne Spivey and the Rev. Patrick Whyte. A private burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
