Robert F. Anderson, 74, Cynthiana, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016.
He was born Nov. 21, 1941, a son of the late Dr. Robert L. and Edith Florence Anderson. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir, the chairperson for the Methodist Men, a member of the Licking Valley Singers and the Promise Keepers. He was an honorably discharged Marine Corp veteran.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Misty Dawn Anderson and a sister, Lou Johnson.
Survivors include: his wife, Phyllis Y. Anderson; one daughter, Marcie (Scott) Clarey, Mason County; step son, Patrick (Angie) Jennings, Ft. Mitchell; step daughter, Deandra (Kyle) Gatlin, Alabama; one brother, William (Bibby) Anderson, Winchester; two sisters, Dean Brothers, Lexington, Lee Withers Bowling, London, Ky.; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Jacob Clarey; three step grandchildren, Sterling and Jordan Gatlin, Alexa Jennings; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Kyle Gatlin. Burial will follow the service in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
