Robert L. ""Rob"" Stroub, 70, Cynthiana, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Harrison County, May 21, 1943, to the late Everett and Margaret Wiggins Stroub. He was a retired supervisor from Ladish, a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church, Community Draft Horse and Mule Association, Eastern Kentucky Draft Horse Association, Kentucky Draft Horse Association and Cynthiana Elks' Lodge #438 and a Kentucky Colonel recipient.
Survivors include: his wife of 49 years, Donna Kay Houston Stroub; a daughter, Beth (Lee) Tucker, Harrison County; two brothers, James Stroub and Steve (Kathy) Stroub, both of Harrison County; three sisters, Dorothy (Jack) Harp, Harrison County, Carolyn Whitson, Lewisburg, Tenn. and Sherryl Stroub, Harrison County; and a grandchild, Josie Kate Tucker.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Mike Hays and Rick Conley. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter, 1751 New Lair Road, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
