Russell Lee "Rusty" Ewalt, 52, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at his home.
He was born March 25, 1965 in Cynthiana, Ky., the son of Paul Lee Ewalt and Jean Currans Edwards, both of Lawrenceburg.
Rusty formerly worked as a salesman for Rodgers Décor and More, and as a branch manager for Florida Tile and Mees Tile. He was a 1983 graduate of Anderson County High School and attending Eastern Kentucky University.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his three children, Whitney (John) White, Ryan Ewalt, and Brooke (Austin) West; his grandchildren, Mason West, Adeline Ewalt, and Jase White; his sister, Tammie Monthie; step-brother, Chase (Lisa) Edwards; maternal grandmother, Anna Mae Currans; niece Hannah (Brian) Stewart; nephews, Kyle Monthie, Conner Edwards, Josh Edwards, and Brett (Ashley) Monthie.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 2 at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Mike Currans and the Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Ewalt, Chase Edwards, John White, Austin West, Kyle Monthie, and Brian Stewart.
Memorials in memory of Rusty Ewalt are suggested to Bluegrass Care Navigators (Hospice of the Bluegrass), 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601-1758. Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg, is in charge of arrangements.
