Shirley Wagoner, 77, Richmond, formerly of Cynthiana, died Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Berea.
She was born in Cynthiana, Feb. 28, 1940 to the late Claude and Ethel Mitchelltree Morrison. She was a former caregiver at Shady Lawn, and was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Wayne Wagoner; a brother, Charles Morrison; and a sister, Alberta Culley.
She is survived by three sons, Kenny (Connie) Burden, Cynthiana and Tracy (Patty) Burden and Greg Burden, both of Lexington; two daughters, Lisa (Lee) Emmitt, Richmond and Gina (Rodney) Hines, Ft. Wright; two brothers, Leroy (Pauline) Morrison, Lexington and Clarence Morrison, Winchester; a sister, Ethel Mae Altar, Paris; 13 grandchildren; and a special sister-in-law, Carol Doan.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 26 at 2 p.m. at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Garry Stith with visitation at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Wagoner's Chapel Cemetery.
