Stanley Fizer, 85, Cynthiana, Ky., died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Lexington, Ky., Nov. 16, 1927, to the late Stanley Wallace and Minnie Dean Irvin Fizer. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and a retired music educator for the Harrison County School System and Maysville City Schools, was a member of the Cynthiana Christian Church, where he served as an Elder and Choir Director for over 40 years. He was also a member of the Cynthiana Kiwanis Club, the Musicians Union, Main Street Brass and was a realtor/auctioneer, and an honorably discharged Army veteran.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Stan Fizer and her husband Mike Bohanan, Cincinnati, Ohio; one son, Lewis ""Luke"" Fizer of Cynthiana; two brothers, Wallace Fizer and Theodore Fizer, both of Lexington; four grandchildren, Hadley and Katherine Bohanan and Mason and Elizabeth Fizer.
Services will be Thursday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Dr. Larry W. Bishop. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday.
