William Lewis Pridemore, 80, son of the late Swift and Blanche Pridemore of Bourbon County, Ky., died March 29, 2013.
After 33 years with DuBois Chemicals, Inc of Cincinnati, Ohio, he retired in 1991. During the last five years of his career, he served as President of DuBois USA the largest division in the company with over 900 employees and $120 million in annual sales and was also Executive Vice President of DuBois Chemicals, Inc., Vice President of The Chemed Corporation of Cincinnati, parent company of DuBois Chemicals, Inc., and served on the Board of Directors for Chemed.
Survivors include: his wife of 61 years, Jo Nell Lake, a loving daughter, Sandra L. Norenberg, a wonderful son-in-law, Mark Norenberg, of Elizabethtown, Ky.; a great son, William Keller ""Kelly"" Pridemore of Goshen, Ky.; five grandchildren, Cynthia Williams, Cody Norenberg, Will Pridemore, Nathan Pridemore and Paige Pridemore; two great-grandchildren, Carter Pridemore and Carwyn Edward Tran Norenberg; three wonderful sisters, Katherine Wagoner, Betty Terry and Pearl Kendall Sosby; a brother, Howard ""Bo"" Pridemore; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Ann Lake, Mildred Pridemore and Maxine Pridemore; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Philip and Tommy Pridemore, a sister, Elizabeth Haney, and five brothers-in-law, George Haney, Pat Terry, Lester Kendall, Streby Wagoner and Paul Sosby.
In 1992, Bill and Jo Nell purchased a home and moved to Cynthiana where they also owned a farm and he resided in Cynthiana until his death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday April 2 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home in Cynthiana. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana. Bob Mallory, minister of Antioch Christian Church, conducted the service.
Pallbearers were: Mark Norenberg, Randall McClearn, Cody Norenberg, Will Pridemore, Nathan Pridemore, Rick Pridemore and Don Wagoner.
Honorary pallbearers were: Gilbert Clifford Jr., Bobby Rankin, Mary D. Ogden, Dr. Don Stephens, Jack Kortekamp, Ted Light, Bill Woodward, Howard Woodward, Woodie Florence, Cynthia Williams and Paige Pridemore.
