Charles Thomas Cooper, 78, Harrison County, Ky., died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 14, 1934 in Cynthiana, Ky., a son of the late A. J. and Emogene Hash Cooper. He was a member of Robinson Christian Church, and a retired machinist having worked for T.I. Automotive and Bundy Tubing. He was a champion bowler, a competitive golfer, an avid hunter and fisherman, a successful gardner and enjoyed woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Carolyn Ecklar Cooper and a brother, Andrew ""Skeet"" Cooper.
Survivors include: his daughters, Terri (John) Vest and Kelly (Brian) Hill, and a brother, Ronald K. Cooper, all of Harrison County; his granddaughter, Carolyn (Timothy) Lewis; and his great-grandchildren, Xavien and Lennox Lewis.
Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by the Rev. Stephen Staggs. Burial will follow in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Robinson Christian Church.
