John Miller Feeback, 86, Cynthiana, died Sunday, April 7, 2013. He was born Feb. 5, 1927 in Millersburg, Ky.
He was the son of the late Hobart Miller Feeback and Mary Dallam Bowles Taylor, graduated from Cynthiana High School in 1948, after having served overseas in the United States Army during World War II.
He married Janice Hendy in 1952 and had three children, Charles Mason Feeback (Marianne), Alan Tod Feeback (Judy), and Juliana Feeback Plummer (Gary); four grandchildren, Virginia Ann Redmon (Brad), Mason Feeback, John Alan Feeback, and Clay Ashbrook Feeback; two great-granddaughters, Kendall Ann Redmon and Harper Reese Redmon; three step-grandchildren, Anthony Plummer (Kyla), Kristin Harrington (Nathan), and Kara Mattox (Jon); eight step great-grandchildren, Sabrina Plummer, Rosalee Plummer, McKenna Harrington, Asher Harrington, Ian Harrington, Sawyer Harrington, Alexis Mattox and Ruby Mattox; one sister, Verne Nesbitt, Syracuse, New York; and two half-brothers, William D. Taylor, Albany, Ga. and Michael C. Taylor, Ocala, Fla.
He was trained as a Watchmaker, and a Journeyman Tool and Die maker, and held various positions in engineering and management at the Kawneer Co., Bendix-Sheffield Corp, AO Smith Co., prior to retiring from the 3M Co. in 1989. He was an avid fisherman, loved boats, and had many hobbies, crafts and interests, was a member of Cynthiana Presbyterian Church, had lived most of his life in Cynthiana, and enjoyed the small town pleasures of family and friends.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, April 10 at the Battle Grove Meditation Building by Pastor Earl Litman.
Pallbearers were: John Alan Feeback, Clay Ashbrook Feeback, Harold Kendall, John Reno and John Lee.
Honorary pallbearers were: Marvin Arnold, Lyle Lacore, Raymond Caswell and Dr. John G. Cooper.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, First Church of God or the Food Pantry.
