William E. ""Bill"" Carpenter, 64, Georgetown, formerly of Paris, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Hospice Care Center in Lexington.

He was born in Bourbon County, March 7, 1949 to Bonnie Jean Mastin Carpenter and the late James Robert Carpenter. He was the greeter for the Whistle Stop Pop Shop and his favorite pass time was spending time with his niece, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great great-niece and nephew.
He was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Survivors include: his sister, Peggy L. (Mike) Toy, Georgetown; two nephews, Michael (Stephanie) Toy, Paris and Joe Toy, Georgetown; a niece, April L. (Jamie) Smith, Cynthiana; two great-nephews, Trey Smith and Joshua Smith, both of Cynthiana; two great-nieces, Chelsie Toy, Frankfort and Jacqueline Smith, Cynthiana; a great great-niece, Audrey Anna Smith, Cynthiana; a great great-nephew, Lane Thomas Reid Smith; and a very special cousin, Ralph (Carol) Carpenter, Versailles.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, April 16 at Carpenter Cemetery at Polksville in Bath County.
