Ronald ""Ronnie"" Dempsey Earle, 65, Cynthiana, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Lexington, Aug. 17, 1948 to the late Maurice Dempsey and Wanda Lois Burgess Earle. He was a livestock inspector for the State of Kentucky and a volunteer for the Harrison County Fillies basketball and Breds baseball teams. He was a member of the Republican Christian Church, Taylor Lodge #164, American Trap Shoot Association, Cynthiana Elk's Lodge #438, where he served as Exaulted Ruler and the F&AM where he served as past master.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles ""Smokey"" Burgess and a nephew, Bryant Keith Burgess.
Survivors include: his wife, Cindy Scott Earle; a brother, Kenneth Lynn (Pam) Earle, Berry; a sister-in-law, Jane Ann Burgess, Berry; and five nieces and nephews, Jason Thompson, Amanda Thompson, Glenn Scott, Meghan Scott and Kendra Cooper.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 18 at Ware Funeral Home by the Rev. Carol Devine and Kimberly Gibson. Burial was in Republican Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Harrison County Baseball Boosters or Harrison County Fillies Basketball.
Pallbearers were: Mac Whitaker, Eddie Feeback, Larry Wells, Glenn Scott, Jonathan Smith Jr., Dr. Gary F. Earle, Tom Ware, Mike Reitz, Allen Cooper and Doug Stephens.
Honorary pallbearers were: Meghan Scott, Kendra Cooper, Audrey Ramsey, Jimmy Ross Whitaker, elders of Republican Christian Church, current and former Harrison County Breds baseball players and coaches, Kenny and Linda Smiley, John and Barbara Scott, Jerry Scott and Danny Woodhead.
