DeKALB – Arthur G. Flint, 81, of DeKalb, Ill., died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at home at Barb City Manor.
Born July 12, 1931 in Pontiac, Ill., the son of Gordon M. and Mary (Brown) Flint, he married Sylvia Ann Marinelli on June 23, 1956, in Rockford.
Art was a graduate of Northern Illinois University. He was a former Prudential Insurance Agent, a member of Christ the Teacher Parish, the DeKalb Elks Club, and a former board member of Barb City Manor. Art was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his cousin, Martha (Roger) Benson of Maple Park.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia, in 1985; and his parents.
The memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. Interment of cremated remains will be at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Arthur G. Flint Memorial Fund, sent in care of Anderson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 605, 2011 S. Fourth St., DeKalb, IL 60115.
