DeKALB – Carol Jean Lawler, 69, of DeKalb, Ill., died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Kishwaukee Community Hospital, DeKalb.
Born Nov. 25, 1943, in Porter County, Ind., the daughter of Fred and Gertie (Warren) Sprowls, she married John Lawler on Aug. 28, 1984, and resided with him in Earlville until his death in 1990.
Carol is survived by two sisters, Bernice (Thomas) Burke of Princeton and Doris (Frank) Greenfield of DeKalb; three brothers, Harold (Linda) of Mendota, Ralph (Ardith) of Shabbona Grove and Frederick (Robyn) of Centralia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death her parents; husband, John; twin sister, Norma McRoberts; two brothers and a sister in infancy.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place at Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can made to the DeKalb County Hospice or to the Red Cross for the victims of hurricane Sandy in care of Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL 60178.
