CLARENCE A. MASSIER(1922 - 2014)

DeKALB – Clarence Adam Massier, 91, of DeKalb, Ill., passed peacefully Feb. 14, 2014, at home.
He was born May 23, 1922, in Dundee, the son of Adam and Elnora (Kilb) Massier.
Clarence was a Purple Heart recipient and veteran of World War II. He had a long career in sales starting with Commercial Body in DeKalb and retired from Grumman Allied Industrial.
He was the beloved husband of Marie, married 67 years; loving father of five children, Jim (Carol) Massier, Greg (Judy) Massier, Nancy (Ron) Shoger, Chuck (Barb) Massier and Laurie (Mark) Patterson; Surviving him are nine grandchildren, Mark Massier, Nichole (Christian) Krueger, Randi Shoger, Greg Shoger, Damon Massier, Derek Massier, Sam Patterson, Alaryce Patterson and Aliza Patterson; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Alexander Krueger; and several nieces and nephews.
The celebration of his life will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Parker of St. Mary Catholic Church officiating. The visitation will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, until the time of the memorial service at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Finch Crematory and burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family in care of the funeral home to be established at a later date.
