ROSCOE – James D. Conlin, 66, of Roscoe, Ill., began a new journey Jan. 30, 2014, when he was reunited with the love of his life, Karen Conlin, in heaven.
Born Nov. 17, 1947, in DeKalb, Jim graduated from DeKalb High School. He enjoyed golfing and traveling. He was employed by Leath Furniture and Taylor Freezer. He fulfilled his dreams of having a home on the golf course and although short, a retirement in Arizona.
He leaves behind daughters, Tracy (Mike) Lindgren and Jenifer (Simon) Licon; sons, Bradley Conlin and Larry Nevel; granddaughters, Taylor, Brittany and Emily; grandsons, Joseph and Joshua; mother, Helen Pederson; brothers, John (Donna) Conlin and Jeff Pederson; sister, Janet (Tom) Siebrasse; significant other, Ruth (Harris) Claus; and many other beloved relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, James C. Conlin.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb, with the Rev. Robert Vaughn of Malta Congregational Church officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb.
