VERONICA RADOVIC Obituary
Veronica graduated from Rome Linguistic Institute with full honors. She moved to Sycamore to pursue a degree in accounting. She attended Kishwaukee College and earned an associate's degree in accounting. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. She continued her education at Northern Illinois University in 2010, working towards a dual major in accounting and business. Veronica was a member of the Honors Program for accounting, and was recently named to NIU's dean's list for achieving a 4.0 grade point average.
Veronica is survived by her son, Simone; her mother, Carla Brown; grandfather, Fred Brown; uncle, Marco (Stephanie) Brown; great-aunt, Anna Klicki; cousin, Vickie (Tom) Guthrie; cousin, Ron (Kathy, Aj, Kyleen and Joe) Coia; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Rome. Veronica was in a loving relationship with Brian Galto of Sycamore.
She was proceeded in death by her grandmother, Luciana Brown.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Olson Funeral and Cremation Services, Ltd., Quiram Sycamore Chapel, 1245 Somonauk St. Funeral prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, June 9, at the funeral chapel, with funeral procession to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sycamore, at 10 a.m. for Mass of Christian Burial.

Dear Carla,
I am at a loss to read that Veronica is no longer with us after so many years. I have been trying to find you both for many many years, and my heart is breaking. I will never forget jer being angry with me when not speaking English because she said I sounded like a different person she did not like. Love from all of us in Serbia

Dear Carla, I cannot think of the words to express the love that our family had for Veronica or her for us. Just remember "She was loved and will be missed forever". Like you said, in our house there are memories everywhere you look of Veronica. She was a part of our family. Also Simone. They were here every day, talking, laughing, learning, and loving! We can show you their lives in pictures....always smiling :). I think God blessed us when he brought them into our lives, and not only did we love them...but they also loved us! We showed Veronica many things....how to ride a horse, that it's nice to write thank you cards, how to make pistacchio salad (which she loved so much),that bugs won't hurt you!, haha, and how to show love thru hugging, smiles, kisses and respect. I hope dear friend of ours that you are at peace now and even in heaven you can still feel our love! We will always be here for you Carla and we love you! Dear Carla,
So sorry to read about the loss of your beautiful daughter. I don't really know what to say, other than that our Lord and your Mom are enjoying Veronica and taking good care of her. You will see her again because our faith is a sure thing. Know that I am praying for you and your family.
It has probably been 45 years since I have seen you, if you even remember me. I think maybe you where in my brother Jims class.
I wish a could say something to ease some of your pain. It really sounds as if
Veronica did you proud. How blessed you are to have a little grand-darlin' you will be able to share all his mom stories with him. Lucky for him to have a grandmom like you.. cause I remember you as a little "kid" and you where fun.

Si dice che le vie del Signore siano infinite e che non sempre ci sia dato capire i Suoi scopi. Il Signore mi voglia perdonare ma non capisco, non riesco a capire quale possa essere lo scopo di morire a 22 anni, all'alba di una vita appena cominciata. Dico a Carla che DEVE trovare il coraggio e la forza di continuare a vivere per Simone

I was a fellow student and good friend of Veronica's. I have never known someone as thoughtful, sweet, and hardworking as Veronica. Being around her, I knew that whatever she did would be brilliant and amazing just like her. There is no one I would rather work with or joke around with in my downtime. I just know that we would have been friends forever Veronica and for that I will miss you forever. I Love you girl, I hope your soul is in a much better place.

Mr. Brown, Carla, Simone, Marco, and Vickie, I am such disbelief. Veronica was always so full of fun and energy. Being neighbors to Mr. and Mrs. Brown, we were blessed to see her grow up when she would visit each summer from Italy. I loved watching her run out in the back yard when she saw my dog Natasha. They both loved each other, I am so very sorry she isn't with us. It was a gift just to have known her.
