DORIS FLEISHER Obituary
Born Feb. 17, 1917, in New York City, she served for two decades at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, first as a secretary and then as the administrative assistant to Dr. Irving Selikoff, director of Environmental Medicine.
She studied art and dance, sang and played the piano, and was a true Aquarian, who loved being in, and near, the water. She cherished the arts and learning and, most especially, her children.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Terri) Fleisher and Robert (Darsha Primich) Fleisher; nephews, David (Amira Joelson) Leland and Daniel (Sylvia) Leland; grandsons, Seth (Emily Baldwin) Fleisher and Michael Fleisher; and great-grandsons, Miles Fleisher and Jonah Fleisher.
She was preceded in death by parents, Julius and Lena Levey; husband, Maurice Fleisher; daughter, Carol (Jerome Bruner) Fleisher Feldman; brother, Morton (Harriet) Leland.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
