MALTA – Cameron Dean Lupton, 28, of Malta, Ill., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, in DeKalb.|
Born Oct. 15, 1985, in Amarillo, Texas, the son of Carl D. and Crystal D. (Sutton) Lupton, Cameron was a retired U.S. Army veteran, having served in Afghanistan. He was a 2004 graduate of DeKalb High School. He was a member of Northern Fishing Club. His hobbies were playing basketball, video games, fishing, playing golf and drawing.
He is survived by his father, Carl; stepmother, Char; sister, Victoria Lupton (Gabino) Vargas; stepsister, Tonya Lyle (Andy) Glaister of Redmond, Wash.; stepbrother, Timothy (Roan) Lyle of Fort Thomas, Ky.; grandparents, Bob and Ozelle Sutton of Amarillo; many aunts and uncles, including Rex and Donna Lupton of Shabbona; and many cousins, including Jason (Katie) Lupton and Eric (Ashley) Lupton, both of DeKalb.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Crystal Sutton Lupton, and grandparents, Don and Janice Lupton.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb, with Pastor Kevin Spears of Fellowship Baptist Church, DeKalb, officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be at Fairview Park Cemetery, DeKalb, with full military honors by American Legion, AmVets and VFW. Cremation is by Anderson Funeral Home Crematory. The visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at Anderson Funeral Home.
