CRESTON – Fred W. Cederholm, 64, of Creston, Illinois, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014, at OSF St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford.|
Fred was born Dec. 19, 1949, in DeKalb, to Ted and Alice (Troope) Cederholm. He attended school at Creston Grade School and graduated from Rochelle Township High School. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Illinois. He worked as a C.P.A. in Texas and Illinois. He was a baptized and confirmed member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Fred was a Creston Booster member. He was president of the Rochelle Kiwanis Club. He belonged to several organizations and held many offices in them.
He is survived by his aunt, Bertha Byro, and several cousins.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Creston with Pastor Ron Larson officiating. The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth St., Rochelle. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Creston.
