Betty Jean Bolgar, age 69, of Yorkville, IL passed away at her home on Thursday, June 7, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 14, 1948 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Harold and Nellie (Carlson) Johnson. Betty Jean was united in marriage to Mr. Peter Barna Bolgar on October 18, 1969 in the United Methodist Church of Plano and they spent the next 38 happy years together until his passing on April 5, 2007.

Mrs. Bolgar was a United States Postal worker for many years, delivering mail in the rural routes in Plano, Yorkville and Bristol. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Betty Jean is survived by her daughter, Kristi (Daren) Orlove of Yorkville, IL; her 13 year old grandson, Kaleb Barna Orlove of Yorkville, IL; her brother, Chris (Barb) Johnson of FL; her sisters, Linda Baldwin of Benton, IL and Nancy (Bill) Bercot of FL; also several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Nellie Johnson; and her beloved husband, Peter Barna Bolgar.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the United Methodist Church of Plano, 219 North Hale Street, Plano, IL with Pastor Stevan Saunders, officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until the Hour of Service on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Methodist Church in Plano, IL.
